ONBOARD SUPERVISOR
Antonini Navi S.r.l. is seeking an Onboard Supervisor to join its team on a permanent basis at its shipyard, with operational and coordination responsibilities for onboard activities and sea trials, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and schedule compliance.
Main Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and supervise onboard activities during outfitting, commissioning, testing, and vessel delivery.
- Manage vessel handling and maneuvering operations (mooring/unmooring, dock movements, transfers) in cooperation with the shipyard team and, where required, with tugboats/port services.
- Plan and conduct sea trials, functional checks, and testing of onboard systems/equipment, preparing reports and highlighting any non-conformities.
- Oversee onboard safety and compliance with HSE procedures, ensuring order, cleanliness, and proper material management.
- Interface with Production, Technical Office, Quality, and suppliers to monitor work progress, resolve issues, and close punch lists.
- Support the preparation of onboard documentation (checklists, trial reports, logs, delivery documents) and, if required, the training/hand-over to the client’s crew.
Requirements:
- Proven experience (at least 5 years) in a similar role in yacht/shipbuilding yards or in refit/outfitting environments.
- Excellent knowledge of onboard operations, launching procedures, commissioning, and sea trials.
- Good knowledge of onboard systems and equipment (propulsion, electrical, hydraulic, HVAC, firefighting, etc.).
- Ability to coordinate operational teams and manage priorities and deadlines.
- Problem-solving mindset, accuracy, reliability, and strong focus on quality and safety.
- Availability for short business trips for trials/testing/deliveries, if required.
- English knowledge (technical/operational) is a plus.
Workplace and Contract Type:
Location: La Spezia – Pertusola Area, Muggiano
Contract: Full time – Metalworking Industry National Collective Agreement (CCNL Metalmeccanico)
Level and salary (RAL): Commensurate with experience.
